Materials - Under Floor Pipes

When a Velta pipe in floor heating system is supplied, it will usually depending on type of construction) consist of the following materials:

Velta Plus Pipe 17 x 2mm (VPEa PEX 151) to DIN 4726 standards
Purpose designed high-pressure cross-linked polyethylene with integral oxygen diffusion barrier to minimise oxygen diffusion across wall of pipe and reduce corrosion risk to any ferrous items in the heat source or radiator system that may also be fitted.

Edge Insulation Strip 12mm thick x 130mm high. For use as perimeter expansion joint. 20 metre rolls.

Thermal & Sound Deadening Insulation
50mm EPS Insulation or 25mm Celotex TS2 depending on construction -

Polyethylene Isolating Film
Fitted between the insulation layer and reinforcing grid to prevent screed bridging down to subfloor level, 0.2mm thick - 75m2 rolls.

Pipe Support and Screed Reinforcing Grid
For pipe spacings of 300, 200 &100mm. 3mm dia mild steel wire. with unique 'Stand-Off feet' to ensure complete pipe encapsulation by screed, painted finish, size 2.15 x 1 .25 m2.

Velta Wire Grid Binders
To tie reinforcing/support grids together, looped both ends for easy tying. Packs of 100.

Velta Pipe Clips
To clip pipes to support grid. Unique scissor action ensures rigid pipe fixing. Packs of 500.
